“Portrait” Art exhibition

Our second Art competition “Portrait” started in February 2020 and concluded on March 26 2020. Art Room Gallery received entries from many countries around the world: USA, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Greece, Taiwan, China, Russia, Nigeria, Hong Kong, The Portrait theme in this competition included a diversity in types, styles and mediums (oil on canvas, acrylic, oil on linen, photography, mixed media, graphite, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, ceramic and conte crayon). The following evaluation criteria has been used for judging the artwork: creativity, interpretation of the theme, originality and quality of art, overall design, demonstration of artistic ability, and usage of medium. Jury decided to select 63 artworks for inclusion in the exhibition. Aside from First, Second, and Third place Jury also presented Merit awards and Honorable Mention awards.

Statement:

Born in 1973 in the ancient city of Bayannaoer, Inner Mongolia. Graduated from Bayannaoer Fine Arts College in 1994. Graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Inner Mongolia Academy of Fine Arts in 1998. Teacher Yilder, Secretary-General of the Art Committee of the China Academy of Art and judge of the Art Committee, Member of China Minority Art Promotion Association, Member of Beijing Dongcheng Artists Association and of the Oil Painting Committee of Beijing Art Academy. My experiences through these hard times drove me into expressing my feelings through the movement “hyperrealism” which I have been following since 2011. My works are an expression of life. Statement:
