“portrait” Art exhibition

Our fifth Art competition “Portrait” started in March 2023 and concluded on April 13, 2023. Art Room Gallery received entries from many countries around the world: China, Hong Kong, Ukraine, Australia, South Korea, United States, Israel, New Zealand, Romania, Austria, Canada and South Africa. The Portrait theme in this competition included a diversity in types, styles and mediums (oil on canvas, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, charcoal, graphite, photography, digital, bronze). The following evaluation criteria has been used for judging the artwork: creativity, interpretation of the theme, originality and quality of art, overall design, demonstration of artistic ability, and usage of medium. Jury decided to select 114 artworks for inclusion in the exhibition. Aside from First, Second, and Third place Jury also presented Merit awards and Honorable Mention awards.

Statement:

Yuan Wenjun, graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Hunan Normal University; he further studied in the Realistic Oil Painting Advanced Research Class of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. In 2006, the oil painting "Iron Lock and Door Panel" won the Bronze Award of the Third Xinjiang Oil Painting Exhibition; in 2014, the oil painting "Milan" participated in the Third China Realistic Oil Painting Invitational Exhibition (Shenzhen); in 2015, the oil painting "Girl Playing the Qin" "Participated in the 4th China Realistic Oil Painting Invitational Exhibition (Shenzhen); in 2015, the oil painting "Red Wall Past" participated in the 6th Contemporary Oil Painting Exhibition of Guangdong Province (Shenzhen Guan Shanyue Art Museum); in 2015, the oil painting "Red Wall" "The Past on the Wall" participated in the Fifth National Youth Oil Painting Exhibition (National Art Museum of China). In 2018, the oil paintings "The Past on the Red Wall" and "Dream Back to Loulan" participated in the "Concept·Knowledge-French Tour Exhibition of Outstanding Chinese Artists" (Paris, France). Statement:

Xue Jiahui, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a national first-class artist, and the chief artist of the French Royal Academy of Fine Arts. Published more than a thousand works in newspapers and magazines, participated in many domestic and foreign art exhibitions and won awards, and his works were displayed on the big screen in Times Square in the United States and incorporated into national textbooks.
